Crows are facinating. Curiosity, intelligence and their habit of collecting interesting things and gifting them. Their apparent delight in noticing what others overlook.

The Crow Gathering is an autumn garden tea inspired by all that.

This isn't a Halloween or costume party in the traditional sense. It is an invitation to lean into intentional whimsy. Let's dress a little differently and bring something curious to the table. Spend an afternoon surrounded by beautiful things and the people willing to play along.

Costuming is encouraged. Think black of course but interpret that however you like. Remembering crows can see colors human eyes can't and themselves are more oil slick rainbow than black. Edwardian eccentric, romantic goth, velvet, lace, sequins that fabulous piece you've nowhere to wear. A top hat, a headpiece, flowers or feathers. Your version of beautifully peculiar, no need to buy a costume just take a step out of the ordinary.

Trinket Trading.  Crows are collectors and gift givers. We invite our guest to bring a small trinket. Something shiny, curious, beautiful or something you think another person might treasure. We will place them in our communal nest and nearing the end of the gathering we will each collect a new treasure to take home.' The point isn't value, its delight and a story. Giving something away and receiving something unexpected in return. 

There will be tea and seasonal treats, a beautifully collected table, music and the garden in her autumn dress. Dress for a little intentional whimsy. Bring a trinket, your curiosity & your appetite. The rest, we'll take care of.
